- Find a program that will ping a range of Internet IP addresses in a short time and that will return the results in a list. A good network scanner to use is netscan.
- Found out what is your typical area IP range like, as this will assure that you get a local ISP account.
- Use that IP range in the network scanning application to ping all the IP addresses in the range. (For Example: 127.0.0.1 to 192.168.0.255)
